Every memorable event starts with great hospitality

A wedding surrounded by family. A milestone birthday. A celebration of a life well lived. These occasions become treasured memories, and the food shared around the table is often remembered long after the day has passed.

Our Story

A lifetime of experience, served with care

For Sally, cooking has never been just a profession. It has always been about making people feel welcome. Throughout her career she has prepared food for weddings, celebrations, private parties and corporate events, building a reputation for quality, reliability and genuine care.

Her experience includes working as Head Chef at Althorp House, one of Britain's most recognised country estates, where attention to detail, consistency and presentation were expected every day. That experience continues to influence everything she creates today.

No two events are ever the same

Every client arrives with a different vision. Some know exactly what they want. Others simply know how they want their guests to feel. Our role is to listen, taking the time to understand your event before suggesting menus, service styles and ideas that suit the occasion and your budget. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is copied from a previous event.

A career shaped by extraordinary occasions

Before AFP Catering was formed in 2000, covering Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and the home counties, Sally spent years as Head Chef at Althorp House for the Earl and Countess Spencer, catering for several functions for Diana, Princess of Wales, and Prince Charles, including the Royal Box at Covent Garden. That experience has since taken her to some remarkable occasions, from VE Day commemorations at Bletchley Park to Diana's Freedom of the City reception in 1989 and Earl Spencer's funeral in 1992.

Sally Fell Catering has also catered leavers' balls for schools including Berkhamsted School for Girls and Boys, Queenswood School for Girls, Bedford School, Spratton Hall Prep School, Great Houghton Prep School and Chesham Prep School.

How We Work

The difference is in the details

Beautiful food is only part of the experience. The real difference comes from everything happening quietly behind the scenes: thoughtful planning, clear communication, perfect timing and professional service. When guests compliment the food, we are delighted. When hosts tell us they did not have to worry about a thing, we know we have done our job.

Many of our enquiries come from previous clients and personal recommendations, and we never take that trust for granted. Whether we are catering for thirty guests or three hundred, we approach every event with the same care, professionalism and commitment to quality.

When you choose Sally Fell Catering, you are working directly with people who genuinely care about making your event everything you hoped it would be.
