How we look after your details
We only ever collect the details we need to reply to your enquiry and to cater your event. This page explains what we hold, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Sally Fell Catering is a family-run catering business based in Hollowell, Northamptonshire. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Sally Fell Catering is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry through this website, we receive the details you enter on the form: your name, email address, phone number, the type and date of your event, the venue, approximate guest numbers, your preferred way of being contacted and anything you tell us about your plans. We use these details to respond to you, to check availability, to prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, to plan and deliver your event.
If you contact us by phone or email instead, we hold the details you give us in the same way and for the same reasons.
Our lawful basis for this is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and afterwards to perform that contract. Where we keep in touch with past clients, we rely on our legitimate interest in running the business, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
Who else sees your details
Enquiries submitted through the form are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form delivery service, which processes the contents of your message solely to pass it on to us. This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles the technical delivery of the pages and may process your IP address as part of keeping the site secure and available. The typefaces used on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google's servers when a page loads.
We do not sell or share your details with anyone for marketing, and we do not pass them to third parties except where a supplier is helping us deliver your event (for example a venue or marquee company) and you would expect us to do so.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. The site uses a small amount of temporary browser storage to remember your position on a page while you move between pages, which is cleared when you close your browser and is never sent to us.
How long we keep your details
If your enquiry does not lead to a booking, we keep it for up to twelve months in case you come back to us, then delete it. If you book with us, we keep the details of your event for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted where we no longer need it, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, email info@sallyfellcatering.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
